PAVEMENT RESTORATION
There are several reasons that pavement restoration may be needed.
The most common reasons are:
 |
Underground utilities have been
installed, replaced or repaired. |
 |
Aging asphalt has developed cracks,
pot holes, or other damage. |
 |
Tree roots have damaged the paved
surface or concrete walks. |
 |
Improper drainage and/or poor base
material have caused the paved surface to be undermined causing
pot holes or sunken surfaces. |
- Asphalt Patching
Greatly extends the life of existing paved surfaces by repairing
aged, cracked, pot holed, and damaged areas. The damaged area is cut
out and completely removed. The pavement base material is inspected
and corrected as needed. The area is then patched and smoothed with
new asphalt, thus restoring the damaged area to like new condition.
- Asphalt Overlays
Restore aging asphalt surfaces to like new condition. After patching
has been completed, the existing surface is thoroughly cleaned. A
tacking coat of glue is then placed on the cleaned surface, and the
entire area is repaved with an overlay of 1 1/2" to 2" of
new asphalt. This new surface will last for many many years
- Seal Coating
Primarily used on drives, driveways, and parking areas, this coating
protects asphalt from the damaging effects of petroleum products. It
also fills surface cracks to prevent water from entering and
damaging the base material. Not only does seal coating protect and
extend the life of asphalt, its deep black smooth appearance is
visually appealing as well.
- Asphalt Grinding
Is used to remove damaged asphalt or to prepare an existing surface
for an overlay. The ground asphalt makes an excellent base material.
It can also be recycled into new asphalt. Use of the asphalt
grinding equipment can save you both time and money.

Concrete Restoration
- Concrete restoration
Is often performed for many of the same reasons as asphalt
restoration. In many cases asphalt patching will be needed
along with concrete due to the placing of forms for curbs or other
areas where concrete and asphalt have common joints.
- Concrete Finishing
There are several ways to finish concrete. The most common are:
- Light Broom Finish. Usually done on city sidewalks,
residential sidewalks, and driveways.
- Heavy Broom Finish. Usually done on city and county
streets or very steep driveways.
- Washed Aggregate Finish. This is where the surface layer of
concrete is washed off to expose the rock or aggregate. It is
also used to create a custom design in the finish.
